Joy in Action

I want to highlight teachers from around the world who strive to create joyful learning environments. Do you have unique or wonderful strategies for inviting joy into your classroom? Would you like to show other teachers how to add a “dose of joy” to learning?  I would love to hear from you and share your work. Please contact me by  completing my contact form.

Camp Yet …Be Kind … Take Risks…Make Mistakes…Have Courage…

Our classroom has a name and a motto and it drives the culture in which we function.  Together we have established an environment that honors the individual and values the importance of joy and having fun!  I have invited joy into our classroom by providing flexible seating, differentiated tasks suited to the needs of the students in my room, and allowing the students to be in charge of their learning.  I share our joy with my parents daily through Class Dojo and Twitter.

We tell jokes.  We laugh.  We dance.  We play Pokémon Go.  We eat lunch together. We do all of these things whilst learning, growing, and being independent thinkers and problem solvers.
