Dr. Rosa Perez-Isiah

Dr. Rosa Isiah currently serves students as elementary school principal in California. Her experiences include 23 years in education in a variety of teaching and leading roles. Rosa holds a BA in Sociology, an MA in Educational Leadership, a multiple subject bilingual teaching credential, an administrative credential, and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University.  Rosa is passionate about equity, closing the opportunity gap, and learning with her school community. She believes in the power of relationships and leading with purpose, passion, and gratitude.

In her latest article, The Myth of Colorblindness, Rosa discusses why educators need to make the shift from colorblind to color brave. She does not shy away from these crucial conversations because they have an impact on the students we serve. Most importantly, she believes that we can not continue in a business as usual mentality.
